My life was on track.

The plan?
- Finish my MBA
- Get out of the hotel
- Finally date James, my manager

With only three months left, everything was set.

Then he walked in.

What I thought was just a difficult guest toppled my life in ways I didn’t plan for. He was an asshole, demanding, and more alluring than should be legal.

I had a path.
He destroyed it.
What now?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With Welcome to the Cameo Hotel, KI Lynn delivers a wonderfully angsty read. As always, the writing is solid with amazing banter. Or main characters, Emma and Gavin Grayson start their relationship in a conflict of sorts. Everything bubbles over, driven by the undercurrent of a sexual chemistry, and comes to fruition with a sense that fate brought them together. There’s also an element of the “forbidden” romance to this story and KI Lynn is one of the masters of this trope.

Gavin Grayson is a world class jerk and a bossy man. When he moved into the Cameo hotel for a extended stay, he treats the staff pretty darn poorly. It becomes apparent he’s feeling a connection to Emma, a college student truly burning the candle at both ends. It’s obvious she’s accustomed to playing with fire as she lets Mr. Grayson become an important part of her world. He does show his other side to Emma and it doesn’t take long for the two of them to form a bond. But Grayson has been burned and he lets the past dictate the future. It’s understandable, but disappointing all the same. It does make for some drama and necessitates that Gavin do some groveling, and that Emma make a leap of faith

The story is well paced and told mostly from Emma’s point of view so we get to know her well. Everything about her life changes with the entrance of Gavin but Gavin is the one most changed by Emma, and it’s all for the better.

About the Author

K.I. Lynn is the USA Today Bestselling Author from The Bend Anthology and the Amazon Bestselling Series, Breach. She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.
