USA TODAY bestselling author Kate Meader brings her signature “steamy sex scenes, colorful characters, and riveting dialogue” (RT Book Reviews) to this novella in the Chicago Rebels series, following the general manager of the Rebels as he scores with one of his players off the ice.

Dante Moretti has just landed his dream job: GM of the Chicago Rebels. And screw the haters who think there should be an asterisk next to his name because he’s the first out managing executive in pro hockey. He’s earned the right to be here and nothing will topple him off that perch—especially not an incredibly inconvenient attraction to his star defenseman, Cade “Alamo” Burnett. Cade has always been careful to keep his own desires on the down low, but his hot Italian boss proves to be a temptation he can’t resist. Sure, they both have so much to lose, but no one will ever know...

As Dante and Cade’s taboo affair heats up off the ice and their relationship gets more and more intense, they’ll have to decide: is love worth risking their careers? Or is this romance destined to be forever benched?
Note: this is a long-ish novella of approximately 40,000 words set in the Chicago Rebels world.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kate Meaders’ latest installment in the Chicago Rebels series made me absolutely giddy. Every story showcases a “forbidden” romance, whether it be a player and a franchise owner, an owner/coach, or the teams’ GM, this is all about “they really shouldn’t” to “they really can’t help themselves”. It’s absolutely delicious in every way and I’ve really come to love this makeshift family.

Undone By You is simply exquisite. As a love story, it’s a slow burn. As an erotic read, it’s scorching. Dante Moretti and Cade Burnett made my heart race. There’s an unavoidable heady rush of the secret they share and the secret both intend to keep. The secret doesn’t make it any less real. But the funny thing about love is that sometimes it must be shared, professed from the roof tops (or a press conference).

This M/M forbidden love story, may be one of the best of the M/M I’ve read. Cade and Dante have such great chemistry and are the perfect compliments to each other. There’s are so many great nuggets of the time they spend together and the way they inspire each other. Dante is the older man that cade crushed on as a teenager, and the man that emboldens Cade to face his biggest fears. I couldn’t have loved this story more. The Epilogue might be one of my most favorite of all time and the book is one I highly recommend. 5 Stars!!
