He’s my rock star crush, my go-to fantasy. And he’s offering to make all my dreams come true…
Malcolm Strong is the perfect rock star wet dream.
Broad shoulders, inked arms, those piercing blue eyes….
His words are poetry.
His voice is s*x.
He could have any woman he wants.
And he wants me.
No strings attached.
But my heart won’t get in line.
Lacey is as sweet as she is sassy.
Her innocent brown eyes call all my attention.
She’s supposed to be working on our music video.
Which means I’m not supposed to be picturing her naked.
Screaming my name loud enough to wake the neighbors.
I only have one rule: this is staying physical.
But there’s something about Lacey...
I want her heart as much as I want her body.
***Dangerous Fling is a standalone romance set within the Dangerous Noise series***
Dangerous Fling is one hot “rocker” read. Ir’s also a story about the reluctance of falling in love, and family & forgiveness. This is is the 4th book in the Dangerous Noise series, and the second in of Crystal Kaswell’s that I’ve read. Obviously she captured my attention and created an interest in the men who play in Dangerous Noise. Told in alternating points of view, this story focuses on Dangerous Noises’ front man and lead singer Malcome “Mal” Strong and video editor Lacey Waltz and the scorching chemistry between them.
Mal is the ever reluctant love interest as he’s never even entertained the idea of falling in love. The aversion stems from his fear of abandonment, and rightly so. The more we get to know him, the more it makes sense. Lacey had been in a relationship where she felt very loved, but not desired. Self doubt does not stop her from taking a risk on an exclusive friends with benefits relationship with Mal, in fact it’s a perfect sort of therapy for her. This story is heavy on Mal and Lacey exploring this side of their connection, all while discovering that their response to each other runs deep and offers a sense of fulfillment neither have ever experienced in any of their relationships.
Kaswells’ characters have back stories that enrich and drive the plot forward at a good pace. The secondary characters, the band mates that we have come to know through their own stories, have a lot of influence on both Mal and Laney. If you enjoy reading stories about Rock stars and light BDSM, you’ll definitely find this enjoyable. 4.5 Stars.

She looks up at me, her expression needy. “I… I’m not stupid. I know you want me. And you know I want you.”
“And, I get that you don’t have relationships. Right now… everything with Adam. It’s messy. I don’t want messy again. We work together. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I won’t give up this job for anything.”
“You don’t want to fuck me?”
“God, no.” Her fingers dig into my arms. “I do. I want to be fucked so
badly.” Her cheeks flush. “I shouldn’t have said that.”
I shake my head. “I fucking love that you said that.”
“I want you, Mal. God… I’ve… last night… so many nights. But I can’t lose this job.”
“The job is yours. I don’t go back on my word.”
“What if this gets messy?”
“It’s still yours.” I drag my fingers through her hair. “We can wait until after the shoot.”
All the happiness in her expression drains. “That’s far away. Could be a month. Or two.” Fuck, the need in her voice calls all my attention. “I don’t want complicated, but I want you. I can’t fucking remember the last time I liked someone.”
“Like high school like? You like like me?”
It’s probably been since high school. “I want this to be a regular thing.
I want to show you so much fucking pleasure.” I drag my fingers through her hair. “But you have to understand. There are no strings here. The second either one of us wants to walk, it’s over.”
“The second this gets complicated, that one of us develops feelings—”
She stares back at me. “No harem?”
“Yeah.” Fuck, I can’t believe it either. I’ve never had an exclusive fuck buddy. But now is the time. I don’t want to break any more hearts. This is less complicated.
“How long?” she asks.
“Until we leave for our US tour in October.”
“Or until one of us wants to walk.”
She lets out a soft murmur as she leans into my touch.
“What do you say, Lacey? You want to be my one and only fuck buddy?”
