Sometimes you just can't resist playing with fire . . .
By day, Aaron Clarkson suits up, shakes hands, and acts the perfect gentleman. But at night, behind bedroom doors, the tie comes off and the real Aaron comes out to play. Mixing business with pleasure got him fired, so Aaron knows that if he wants to work for the country's most powerful senator, he'll have to keep his eye on the prize. That's easier said than done when he meets the senator's daughter, who's wild, gorgeous, and 100 percent trouble.
Grace Pendleton is the black sheep of her conservative family. Yet while Aaron's presence reminds her of a past she'd rather forget, something in his eyes keeps drawing her in. Maybe it's the way his voice turns her molten. Or maybe it's because deep down inside, the ultra-smooth, polished Aaron Clarkson might be more than even Grace can handle . . .

Aaron Clarkson is a dirty talking bad boy on a mission to salvage his career. And he meets just the girl who might be able to help him (not that he has that intent). No, he’s not that morally corrupt.
Too Wilde To Tame is the first Tessa Bailey book that I’ve read. This story is the second in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone. I think I’m pretty glad I got to know Aaron in his feature story as his family (brother & sister + family friend) travel across the US to fulfill their dead mothers final wish.
We catch up with them in Iowa where Aaron stumbles upon his way into a political event , one that he’s not been invited to. As fate would have it, he meets one Grace Pendleton, the quirky misunderstood daughter of Iowa governor Glen Pendleton, and Grace is just smitten enough with Aaron to help him out a little. Fate is pretty important here because Aaron, naughty boy that he is, is smart to recognize that his accidental meetup with Grace is kismet.
The story is fast paced and over just few days short days, Aaron works his way into Grace’s life. He’s probably the most confident man Grace will ever meet. Even with his overabundant charisma, he’s exactly the right person for the slightly bashful and rebel do-gooder that is Grace. Grace is super adorable, but she’s got an odd family situation that made me feel a bit sorry for her. As for Aaron, well I loved being in his head. He shows some humility and proves he does have a conscious (much to Grace’s dismay). He too made me feel sorry for him and I think their shared label as being the family “black sheep” quality connected them in a great way. But that’s not all that they share. They also share amazing chemistry and Bailey gives us some sizzling moments. Although the story is set in Iowa in winter it felt like it must be summer as hot as their connection was. It felt raw and real and exactly what they both needed.
This was an enjoyable read, one I blazed through in an afternoon. I was reluctant to let real life into my happy bubble as I “listened in” as Aaron dirty talked Grace right out of her panties. Too Wild To Tame is a strong 4 star read and I’m looking forward to reading more books by Tessa Bailey!
