New York Times bestselling author J. Daniels brings us the next book in her Dirty Deeds series.
Is this love or just a game?
Tori Rivera thinks Jamie McCade is rude, arrogant, and worst of all . . . the sexiest man she's ever laid eyes on. His reputation as a player is almost as legendary as his surfing skills. No matter how her body heats up when he's around, she's determined not to be another meaningless hookup.
Jamie McCade always gets what he wants. The sickest wave. The hottest women. And Tori, with her long legs and smart mouth, is definitely the hottest one. He knows Tori wants him-hell, most women do-but she won't admit it. After months of chasing and one unforgettable kiss, it's time for Jamie to raise the stakes.
Jamie promises that soon Tori won't just want him in her bed, she'll be begging for it-and he might be right. Somehow he's found the spot in her heart that makes her open up like never before. But with all she knows about his past, can she really trust what's happening between them? Is Jamie playing for keeps or just playing to win?
This book can be read as a stand-alone. Book 1--Four Letter Word
What a fantastic addition to the Dirty Deeds series! J Daniels does the impossible by turning my feelings about Jamie around. By the end of Four Letter Word he seemed like a good enough guy, but he was a player and man whore and there was no way he was going to make any traction with Tori, right? I mean Jamie pretty much blows it with her – BIG TIME ! So I was certain there was no way he’d recover from that. Tori is too smart for that, right?
Turns out that what Tori felt for Jamie was much more complicated than the hateful sexual draw she had toward him. Yep, Jamie got under her skin. Hit The Spot chronicles the slow free fall of both Tori and Jamie – as they wager a bet to see who will cave first in seeking the other out to scratch that painful itch. Straight up, this is a fun read. Jamie is a competitor and is more than willing to work hard to break Tori’s resolve. What I love about this story is that they severely under estimate each other.
The story is told from alternating points of view and Daniels gives Jamie an Alpha male voice that I hadn’t picked up on in Four Letter Word. His confidence seemed more subtle and smooth but with Tori’s challenge, his sweet side gets pushed to the back and he comes at her full bore. There’s no time to be to nice when he got a women to get into bed 😉 As he gets to know Tori and what makes her tick, he does show real and genuine concern for her exposing more sweet then he means to. As the story develops, intentions change. These two have incredible sexual chemistry and what they share is incredibly hot. It’s one of those awesome reads that will leave you hot and bothered.
It might not make sense, but on the whole once they recognize their feelings for each other there’s relative low angst between them. This balances out the tons of drama it takes in getting them to that point though. This is a solid 4 star read and one that I recommend!
