From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, heÔÇÖll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.
No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all. They may be right.

These Royals will ruin you
The ladies that make up Erin Watt sure do know how to delivery on some of the best cliffhangers of 2016 (Paper Princess and Broken Prince). Twisted Palace is so well plotted and executed making this series one of my favorites of 2016.
The story is delivered through both Ellas’ and Reeds’ perspectives, and the two are perfectly paced. The suspense lasts MOST of the entire 370 pages. Things seem really hopeless and we are reminded how unscrupulous a few of the characters are. Ella’s life is upended and she handles as best she can. It’s odd when I think of an under 18 year character as being strong enough to tell the adults to f-off and thinking what can’t she do what she wants. Ella is just that put together. But her reality leaves her with few choices. She does stand by her man, and with Reed being her man, who wouldn’t?
Reed actually believes the justice system will work effectively; Brooke’s killer will be caught, and he’ll walk away. But for all his bravado, Reed appears shaken. Add in the appearance of Ella’s dead father Steve, Ella being forced to be around Dinah, and the ever menacing student body at Astor Park, Ella’s faith in Reed is tested. All the usual suspects gather around to help cast doubts on Reeds innocence (which doesn’t look likely at all), and to wreak havoc on the entire Royal family.
Twisted Palace is simply a brilliant conclusion to the predicament Ella and Reed have endured just to be together. I’m hoping we get to revisit the family and learn more about Easton and what goes on in that crazy brain if his. 5 Stars, Book and Series recommendation!
