BROKEN LOVE is a STANDALONE, CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE NOVEL following Cade and Palmer from the USA Today Bestseller, Vegas Love.
The Love Series is a series of STANDALONE novels featuring a different Crawford sibling. They can be read by themselves. However if you do with to read them all, they are best enjoyed in order.
The Crawford boys are back again. ┬áCade gets a second chance to make his first love real. ┬áI have to put this out there right now: poor Cade. ┬áSeriously, my heart breaks for the guy. ┬áHe’s really a great guy and got the sharp, pointy end of the stick. ┬áWhile it’s a real love, it’s very immature on the side of Palmer. ┬áShe made me upset quite a few times. ┬áAs she matures, she certainly gains some perspective. ┬áSpecifically, what a gentleman and catch she once had.
Cade isn’t without his flaws and pain, but it’s rare to see a man hold his love so dear, even when the tables are turned on him.┬áHis relationship with Palmer jeopardized his friendship with her brother, his best friend. ┬áAll parties had a healthy dose of miscommunication, but Cade chose to shoulder all the blame, even that which should not have been placed on him. ┬áMisguided? ┬áProbably. ┬áHonorable? ┬áDefinitely.
Palmer. ┬áShe never got over her attraction…and hate for Cade Crawford. ┬áWhat should have been destined to be her great love fell apart with a few words and a curling iron.┬á Once she grew up some and got some perspective on life, I found Palmer to be a bit more palatable. ┬áHer close relationship with her brother certainly showcased her best side and made me like her a lot more. ┬áSpeaking of her brother…the poor guy certainly hits a rough patch and has REALLY bad taste in women. ┬á (No worries, he certainly sees the light!)
The Love Series is certainly some fun, light reading. ┬áWhile it is a dual POV, I feel like the men in these stories take center stage, which I greatly enjoy. ┬áIf you’re looking for a light read and some Hollywood drama, this book, series and author are for you!
We clink our glasses together then down the shots. The groomsman passes me a lime wedge, but I shake my head, causing him to pull me aside.
ÔÇ£My nameÔÇÖs Jared,ÔÇØ he says with a cocky smirk.
ÔÇ£I thought this was supposed to be a no-names night?ÔÇØ I reply, giving him shit, even though I have no interest in him.
ÔÇ£It is. But for you, IÔÇÖll make an exception. You need to know what name to say when I make you scream later.ÔÇØ
Cade comes up from behind Jared, clamping his big hand down on JaredÔÇÖs skinny shoulder.
Jared glances back at Cade. They share some kind of a look that causes Jared to immediately ditch me. He saunters over to Tory and throws his arm around her, which earns him a hint of a smile from Cade.
ÔÇ£So does this mean youÔÇÖre not married?ÔÇØ Tory asks Jared.
ÔÇ£Nope, IÔÇÖm single as a Pringle,ÔÇØ he replies.
I expect Cade to say something to me, but instead he turns away.
IÔÇÖm not sure what just happened, but I think it was some guy-code thing.
And it pisses me off.
Tory sees the rage on my face, takes my hand, and drags me off to the bathroom.
ÔÇ£Did you see that!?ÔÇØ I rant, as we step inside the ladiesÔÇÖ room, finding a long line. ÔÇ£Cade cock blocked me! Not that I wanted that guyÔÇÖs cock, because you already called dibs on it, but Cade didnÔÇÖt know that!ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£Since you donÔÇÖt have a cock,ÔÇØ she replies. ÔÇ£I think itÔÇÖs called blocking the box.ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£Oh, no,ÔÇØ the girl in front of us says. ÔÇ£ItÔÇÖs called twat blocking.ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£I thought it was boxed,ÔÇØ another woman says.
ÔÇ£Baseball players call cock blocking stealing signs.ÔÇØ
A voice from inside one of the stalls yells out, ÔÇ£ItÔÇÖs called clam jamming.ÔÇØ
Pretty soon everyone in the bathroom is giving us their opinions.
ÔÇ£Twat swatting or twat stopping.ÔÇØ
I shake my head at Tory. ÔÇ£Whatever. It really shouldnÔÇÖt matter what part you have. I got cock blocked because I will be having no cock tonight.ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£ThereÔÇÖs still time,ÔÇØ Tory says. ÔÇ£You can have the groomsman. You need to get laid worse than I do, honey. ItÔÇÖs been far too long.ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£But why would he cock block me and then walk away?!ÔÇØ
As soon as the words tumble out of my mouth, CadeÔÇÖs mother steps out of one of the stalls.
I put my head down, hoping she wonÔÇÖt notice me and, thankfully, she squeezes past us without saying a word.
ÔÇ£Holy buckets,ÔÇØ Tory says when the door closes behind her. ÔÇ£WasnÔÇÖt that his mother?ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£Uh, yeah. You can kill me now.ÔÇØ
