Disgraced cop Henrik Vance is having a shit year. Banished to a derelict undercover squad, heÔÇÖs been tasked with hunting down the daughter of ChicagoÔÇÖs most dangerous criminal. His obsession with saving the beautiful girl destroyed his career. And this time, it might cost his life.
Ailish OÔÇÖKelly doesnÔÇÖt need a hero. SheÔÇÖll save herself from her fatherÔÇÖs violent criminal dynasty, thank you very much. Unfortunately, the sexy as sin cop who crashes her hideout isnÔÇÖt hearing reasonÔÇöespecially not after the kiss that becomes much more.
His boss wants her as an informant. Ailish wants Henrik to keep whispering filthy things against her skin. But she knows too well the evil theyÔÇÖre up against, and when it comes down to protecting the man who owns her body and soul, she only has one choice...
Tessa Bailey is a master at lighting the pages on fire. And the last installment of the “Crossing the Line Series”, Raw Redemption, is no exception to this. You can feel Ailish and Hendrik’s chemistry bleed from the pages.
This book contains all the classic Tessa Bailey elements, it’s sext, sweet, suspenseful, as well as scorching hot. Hendrik, a disgraced ex-cop, and Ailish, the mob boss’ daughter, make for an unlikely match at first glance, but once we┬áget to know them, we realize┬áthey have more in common than┬áexpected.
Ailish┬áwants her freedom, wants to start fresh without her father’s crimes hanging over her head. Hendrik on the other hand, all he wants to do is protect Ailish, just like he’s been doing since he met her. They make an unlikely pair, but ultimately, they complete one another.
Once again, Tessa Bailey manages to show how criminals are┬áredeemable, and life is not black and white. People like Ailish, who have been born and forced into a life or crime, sometimes can’t help it and people tend to forget that. Tessa Bailey has an uncanny talent to redeem a hero, or heroine, who you would not expect to be redeemable. In addition to her ability to write steaming hot sex scenes, Raw Redemption definitely did not disappoint and I’ll be sad to see this series come to a conclusion.
