This is a story unlike any other IÔÇÖve read.┬á Sure, itÔÇÖs a tale of loss and how itÔÇÖs dealt with. However, be prepared to be taken for an unexpected ride.┬á The depth of tragedy certainly makes you take stock of what you have in your life.
As you walk the path with Magdalena, you see how she stops living.┬á┬á Her life completely stagnates out of fear; she retreats into herself and just seemingly exists.┬á Her life becomes a desolate island and she doesnÔÇÖt allow any visitors.┬á Watching her continued pain was excruciating at times.┬á Weston was the only person to breach her walls.┬á His presence in her life seems to be to break the chains of desolation.
So what did I take from this story?  Spare a moment and give thanks rather than waiting for the worst.  Life passes quickly so enjoy the moment and those you love around you.  The plot certainly takes on a few twists and turns, leaving you thinking after the last page.  Without giving any spoilers, I will suggest you look up the Mandela Effect after you finish the book.  It certainly put some of the story into perspective for me.
It was an interesting tale.  Not exactly what I expected when I read the synopsis, but certainly a well written and intriguing story.  Worth the read!
