Moving back home wasn’t anything I ever wanted.┬á
But after enduring the worst,
Going home was the only answer.
Being back is everything I thought it would be…
Awful, isolating, a constant reminder of what I lost.
And the last thing I need–or want–is another reminder of my past,
Especially Bryant Wood.

That’s all I feel–all I can see when I look at Savannah Turner.
I want to hold her, feel her, love her,
And thank her for what’s she given me.
But I can’t show her the gratitude.
The relief.
The gift she’s given me.
I won’t.
It’ll ruin everything.
A secret I must keep–a secret that could break her.┬á
Shatter her.
Destroy her.
All over again.

┬áThis was a book which took me by surprise and had me running for the tissue box! ┬áDamn…I wasn’t ready for it. ┬áI mean, I know you get the hint that Savannah is going to have devastation in her life, but be prepared. ┬áI cried BIG.FAT.TEARS. ┬áThe good news? ┬áWhat comes afterwards is worth foraging through the tissues back to the book. ┬áThe main highlight? Bryant. ┬áHOT DIGGITY DOG.
First thought on this guy? ┬áDouche reformed. ┬áSecond thought? ┬áA guy misjudged by stupid teenage hormones. ┬áI *almost* want to term this book as a second chance love story, but the truth is they never got a first chance. ┬áWhen we learn about a young Savannah and Bryant, I dare you not to let him pull at your heartstrings. ┬áIf you find yourself immune, then I know you’ll tumble head over heels when you get to know the grown-up version of this man. ┬áHe has a heart of gold and you’ll find there is no limit to his perseverance.

There are quite a few bumps and twists in this story which all make for interesting reading. ┬áI think my favorite part is learning about the symbolism of the word seven. ┬áIt’s a number, but much more than. ┬áThere are times when it got a bit confusing if it was negative or positive, but I think it’s symbolic of the relationship between Bryant & Savannah, as well as their paths in life.

This story wraps up beautifully. ┬áYou get an idea of how these characters will live on and it’s all very fitting. ┬áI really enjoyed the writing style and wouldn’t hesitate to pick up another book by this author.

When I hear the gentle moan of desire escape from the back of her throat I canÔÇÖt stop myself. My hands make their way to her waist, enjoying the feel of her curves along the way. Fervently, I lift her body and turn us both around until sheÔÇÖs seated on the kitchen counter. Immediately she wraps her legs around me as I stand in between her thighs.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph IÔÇÖm standing in between her thighs.

How does a guy get this lucky?

Music is still coming from her phone on the counter but IÔÇÖll be damned if IÔÇÖm even listening to it. Whatever it is, itÔÇÖs slower in tempo which only fuels the flames between us.

┬áMy lips leave hers as she slowly rolls her head to the side granting me access to her neck. Like an animal pouncing on his prey my lips are on her without a momentÔÇÖs hesitation. I carefully brush her neck with my tongue before sampling the same spot lightly with my teeth. Savannah gasps before releasing a satisfied moan making my dick scream for attention.

┬áAnd itÔÇÖs right thereÔǪ

Between her thighs

Blocked by my damn jeans

Her hands hastily make their way to the hemline of my t-shirt. She tugs at it fiercely until I help her pull it up and over my head.

Dear God, this is happening.

┬áÔÇ£Bryant…ÔÇØ I hear her whisper as I continue my trail of kisses across her neckline. She folds into me, hugging my head and holding me against her chest. I take that as my cue that itÔÇÖs time to move her. I kiss her chest lightly right at the top of her dress while moving my hands slowly up her legs. IÔÇÖm about to go where IÔÇÖve never gone before with her and fuck if IÔÇÖm not enjoying every minute of it. My hands glide underneath her dress as they slide eagerly up her thighs. IÔÇÖm trying so hard to slow down and take it all in but this girl is hungry and I want to be the one she feeds on.
