Delaney, a professional bodyguard, has spent years trying to prove herself in a male dominated industry. Now she's facing her greatest challenge yet.

Bad boy billionaire Jax Shields has made plenty of enemies on his climb to the top, but being in the wrong place at the wrong time has put his life at risk. Now he's putting his life in the hands of Delaney and her team. He demands the best in everything, and he doesn't think she has what it takes to protect him. He's also made it clear he'd rather have her on her back then covering his. Will Delaney be able to prove herself to the most arrogantÔÇöand devastatingly handsomeÔÇöman she's ever met?

**Hard To Forget is a full-length standalone romance with a HEA**

Bella JewelÔÇÖs Alpha’s Hearts series finishes strong with the 3rd and final book Hard To Forget. At the center of the story┬áis Delaney, a relatively new recruit and the first and only woman in a Denver personal security agency. Delaney is about to be assigned to her first case and none of her peers offer much support. But she’s┬átough and fiercely proud, and she’s all in. Especially once she catches sight of her first client.┬á Once again┬áJewell delivers a fun and sexy story intent on showing us a unique take on an┬á┬á”Alpha female” ┬ábreaking through the barriers of predominantly male dominated professions.

Jewell shares with us only a sliver of Delaney’s life and for much of the story she is kinda a mystery. ┬á We know why she decides to take the professional path she chooses, but┬áwe learn only a smidgen about her family, and we get almost no sense on her love life. ┬áShe’s all work, work, work and without a little down time, Delaney’s head is wrapped up in proving the boys wrong. ┬áBut sometimes it doesn’t matter, and in this case the story was very much about the here and now. ┬áWith her┬áfirst assignment, it felt almost like she drew the short straw. ┬áI’m not sure you could encounter a man more resistant to a female bodyguard. ┬áJax Shields isn’t the warmest of clients and he’s immediately combative with Delaney. ┬áYes, this makes it all the more delicious watching his world get flipped on it’s end by Delaney’s presence.┬áThere’s some angst and Delaney’s and Jax’s decision making skills are clouded over in the haze of lust.

At 200 pages, the connection between Delaney and Jax builds quickly and the mystery aspect unravels at just he right pace. ┬áIt was an easy tale to get caught up in making it a one sitting read. The Alpha’s Hearts series was my first exposure to Bella Jewell’s writing and I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to dive into her stories. Hard to Forget earns 4 stars and recommendation.
