I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Hendrix "Cannon" Cole is a major D*ck. That's D*ck with a capital D.

He's nicknamed "Cannon" because of the weapon between his legs.

He's damaged, dirty, and demanding. A sexy-as-f*ck ex-Marine.

My stepbrother.

I used to hate him. Then I loved him. Then I hated him again.

Our history is complicated. But my family thinks he's the perfect solution to my problem. A scandal has thrown me into the limelight, and I'll be screwed if I don't stay on the straight and narrow. Now, Hendrix's new job is making sure I behave.

What I didn't count on was being stuck spending every waking moment with him.

The heat between us is explosive. But if he fires that cannon, we'll both get burned.

***5+ Stars***

I don’t even know where to start. I’m kinda running out of stars when it comes to Cannon by Sabrina Paige, since this one is even better than the two previous ones.

Cannon by Sabrina Paige is loaded with emotion, heart-ache and sexiness. It’s the perfect mix that just had me wanting more, not allowing me to stop until I finished the book. And now I feel sad, cause it’s over.
Both the plot and the characters are amazing. I enjoy this series so much and am amazed how Sabrina Paige manages to keep it fresh and original. It’s not an easy task in this genre and yet, Sabrina Paige seems to master it effortlessly.

In Cannon we meet Addy, a young girl whose been in the spotlight for years as a country singer. Between her uptight mother and stepfather and the label she signed with, she’s constantly watched and reprimanded. To keep her in check, they hire a new bodyguard/babysitter to look after her. And he’s no other than her stepbrother Hendrix, the guy she’s been in love with since she first met him. The guy that broke her heart and left her behind. But now five years later he’s back and with it all the feelings he had bottled up for her.
Working through their unresolved issues and the pain they caused each other, as well as controlling the all-consuming need to allow their true feelings to surface, they have their hands full.
The relationship between them is nothing less than turbulent, full of heart-ache and hurt, but also passion, love and acceptance. And it’s quite a journey to learn if they are able to let go of the hurt and all the things from the past and present that stand between them in order to be truly happy.

I adored the hell out of Addy. Despite her fame and fortune, she’s humble, down-to-earth and incredibly sweet, unlike her witch of a mother. She works hard, despite having lost the passion for what she’s doing, since it’s all dictated by her label and her less-than-wonderful mother. Deep down she’s just a girl who loves making music. The celebrity status is nothing she really cares about. I loved that she didn’t just roll over and take everything her management and label dished out, that she voices her opinion and makes sure her voice is heard. She’s strong, yet allows herself to be vulnerable. And she’s never more vulnerable than when it comes to Hendrix. Despite her feelings for him, she doesn’t make it easy for him and I respected that.

Although to be honest, I think I would have given in way quicker when it came to Hendrix. Hot, tattooed, ex-Marine with a big mouth and an devil-may-care attitude and the looks and equipment to go with it. Despite the demons that haunt him after his time in the Marines, he doesn’t show any weakness. He’s strong, opinionated and stubborn. Especially when it comes to Addy and winning her over. No matter how much he fights his attraction, how much he knows it’s wrong, she’s the one weakness that can bring him to his knees. He’s fiercely protective and possessive and in that, incredibly sexy. Yet at the same time he’s sensitive and caring.

Addy and Hendrix together are a firework. The sexual tension between them and the sex so hot, it will melt your Kindle. And the passion and love their share so beautiful and tender, it’ll melt your heart.

5+ another-hot-stepbrother stars.
