They say Callum Jackson's a savage.
No home. No prospects. No self-restraint.
He's red-flagged on my system, a grade-1 aggression risk, totally off limits for a woman like me.
But the rules don't allow for my dangerous games; they don't bend for my twisted desires.
Callum Jackson is the most beautiful beast.
A beast I can't stop thinking about, can't stop wanting, can't stop hunting...
...I just pray to God this beast bites.
Sophia Harding runs a tight ship. She may work in the dregs of housing association slums, but her patch is on the way up.
Anti-social behaviour is down, employment is on the rise, and she's even been shortlisted for estate manager of the year.
It's looking good. Really good. Until Callum Jackson completes his jail time and lands right back on her doorstep.
She could do without a guy like him on her books: a failure of the system and a pain in the fucking ass.
She should tick the boxes, do her job and keep her distance - that's what the handbook says. The handbook says no one-on-one contact, no at-risk situations, no direct confrontation of any kind.
But the handbook doesn't know of her craving for hardcore submission.
The handbook has no fucking idea how she yearns to unleash Jackson at club Explicit, where his savage can really run wild.
The handbook doesn't know shit...

***5+ Stars***

Dirty Bad Savage by Jade West might have set my panties on fire, but the damage to my heart was way worse. With the story of Callum and Sophia, she obliterated my heart.
Though a BDSM romance at heart, it was so much more than dirty, wild, kinky as hell sex. Don’t get me wrong, there was lots of it and it was hotter than the fires of purgatory, but there was also so much heart-ache, so much raw, intense and undiluted emotion that I felt like my heart was being put through a meat grinder.

I loved “Dirty Bad Wrong” and was worried that this would be the same type of story with different characters. Boy, was I wrong. Jade West managed to knock me off my feet completely with Dirty Bad Savage, showing her versatility, talent and creativity. I’m in total and complete awe and so in love with the characters, the story, the writing.

And you will be too, when you read it. There is just something about it that drew me in from the first sentence and didn’t let me go, not even when now that I finished the book.

Sophie works for the social housing association, managing a neighborhood that’s riddled by poverty, crime, violence, drugs, hopelessness and resignation. But she isn’t one to easily give up and the task that would seem impossible to others, doesn’t scare her off. There isn’t much that can shock her or knock her off balance. That is until Callum Jackson is released from prison and returns to his neighborhood. A man whose life has been filled with disappointments, rejection and abandonment. A man who never was able to trust anyone. A man who is wild, untamed – a savage. A dirty, bad savage. The best kind.
When their paths cross, their lives collide in ways neither could have ever imagined. What starts as a fiery passion and sexual attraction, quickly becomes something deeper. Deep enough that both have to learn how to swim in order not to drown. While Callum needs to learn to trust and to see the good in himself, Sophie has to stop living the life others expect and be true to herself. And when they step foot into Explicit, a place where Sophie feels at home, the learning becomes dirty, bad, fun. But life isn’t easy and their own hang-ups and fears are trying to get in the way of something that could be special, that could be unique. Something that could bring them happiness.

Sophie is a strong woman. A woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to get it. At least when it comes to work and her sexual desires. At work she takes complete control. When it comes to sex though, she’s the first one to hand control over and be submissive. She isn’t ashamed or shy about it, which made me instantly like her.
She lacks that confidence though when it comes to her family and standing up to them. As much as she attempts to be independent and be herself, she keeps on trying to please them, ignoring what she really wants. And what she really wants turns out to be Callum and not just in bed.
I loved that she was confident, sassy and didn’t get intimidated easily. She stood her ground and was incredibly accepting and non-judgemental. The perfect match for Callum. It would take a strong woman to accept and love the savage that he is.

But if she should ever stop wanting him, I can happily give my number and address because Callum Jackson stole my heart. He’s as wild as they come. He doesn’t give a damn what others think and follows his own path. He is intense and raw, there is no filter between what he thinks and what he says or does. At the same time, he’s broken and damaged. After growing up on the streets with enough emotional wounds to last a few lifetimes, he is not used to people caring about him. Meeting Sophie and being confronted by her feelings knocks him off balance but it’s through her that he learns to see more in himself, to hope for a better future. It’s through her that he finally gets the love that he deserves. And it’s her who teaches him to channel the savage in him in the most delicious way possible.

I could go on for pages and pages about how awesome the characters, but especially Callum were. Jade West wrote him so exceptionally well, that I feel like he exists, like I know him. What really thrilled me was that he was the complete opposite of Masque in Dirty Bad Wrong. While Masque was controlled and calculating, Callum is untamed, wild, ruled by his needs. And both men are pure temptation, each in their own way.

In case you weren’t sure. I loved every little bit of this story.

5+ the-savage-can-ravage-me-anytime stars.
