Kelsey Connor has grown up in one of the wealthiest families in America. She lives a champagne lifestyle and has never wanted for anything. But that life came with stipulations: Marry a man she doesn't love, and make her parents proud. One fateful day, she leaves her Manolos and fancy apartment behind to carve herself a place in the world and find out who she really is.Then handsome Riley Jackson comes into her life, a life she isn't sure she really wants to lead again. Now she's stuck in the same position she started in two years ago, but this time . . . the decision isn't hers to make.Contains mature themes.

Kelsey was born into a privileged life that came with multiple strings ÔÇô marry a man she didnÔÇÖt love and do what her parents wanted. Kelsey was willing to sacrifice herself to get their love and approval. Until one day she was tired of living her life for her family and wanted to live for herself. She gave up everything and started over.

Kelsey was doing great until she met a man who had awakened her and turned her life upside down. Riley Jackson. A gorgeous man who made her feel things she never thought she could feel. A man who had the family support she has always wished and hoped for.

Everything was going great until one day her past ran right into future, making her life a complete upended mess. Kelsey is once again faced with the decision ÔÇô who does she choose to make happy?
This book captivated me from the very first sentence. I was so proud of Kelsey when she decided to put on her big girl panties and take control of her life. Though she made some questionable decisions in her book, I gloried in her imperfections. This facet of her personality made her more real and relatable. We all make mistakes and handle difficult situations/heartbreak differently.

The way the story winds and unfolds in fabulous. I did not expect this and found it very refreshing. YouÔÇÖll find yourself upset with the characters at times, waiting for them to get it together. (Seriously, I wanted to smack Riley around a bit at times, but I still loved him.) I believe the author does this to get us further invested in the outcome of the book.

Read this book! ItÔÇÖs a great summer read I think youÔÇÖll enjoy!
