Dylan Mathews grew up in a house that was always filled with good-looking guys. However, with her four protective older brothers, they never stood a chance.
Except for one.
Dylan knew she loved Ben McKenna from the first time she laid eyes on him. When he started sneaking in her room, she thought he felt the same way. But just as their passion ignited, he left for college and never came back.
Until now.
Returning home after 5 years, Ben realizes Dylan has always been the one for him. Can he win back her heart and finally find love under the orange moon?

Dylan is the baby of the family ÔÇô the youngest, the baby girl.┬á She was fiercely protected by her brothers, yet outrageously teased by them. ┬áDylan ÔÇ£WeedÔÇØ Matthews could give as good as she got.┬á But, what she wanted is something she could never have.┬á The object of her affection, Ben McKenna, played a dual role in her life.┬á He was her brotherly tormentor by the light of day, son #5 to her family, and best friend to her twin.┬á By night, he was the gentle boy who held her with restrained passion.┬á That is, until one night, he let some of that passion become unbridled and that was the last time she saw him.┬á For five years.┬á Too bad your heart cannot let go of what it truly desires, even if your mind screams to do so though the ache of loneliness.

Ben knew he wanted Dylan.┬á He knew her better than anyone else in this world.┬á However, he could never betray the family that loved him more than his own.┬á He couldnÔÇÖt take the risk and lose them.┬á So, it was easier to keep his distance.┬á When it was time to go to school, it was easy to stay away.┬á Even if he never stopped thinking about herÔǪ

Life and love are messy.┬á You have to fight for the things you want most in life.┬á Dylan and Ben have an undeniable attraction, but there is a long history with plenty of hurts that Ben must navigate.┬á HeÔÇÖs always been told he wasnÔÇÖt good enough or too much like his father.┬á His mother is conspicuously absent from his life as she wallows in grief, and his father is emotionally detached.

Frances takes us on a roller coaster ride with Dylan and Ben as they struggle to find themselves and each other.┬á ItÔÇÖs a beautifully painful story to watch unfold.┬á The title holds so much meaning for the story.┬á There is a link to DylanÔÇÖs father, a special memory shared between these lovers, and the landscape for a future.┬á The relationships within this family fill your heart.┬á They are some pretty amazing people and youÔÇÖll wish you knew them in real life.

As Ben let down his guard and Dylan pursues what means most to her, you fall in love with them just a little more with each turn of the page.┬á IÔÇÖm captivated by FrancesÔÇÖ ability to develop such deep and passionate characters.┬á The plot is riveting (and heartbreaking at times), and her writing style keeps you deeply entrenched in the story.┬á I was sorry to see the story end, but glad I was along for the journey.┬á This book was so much more than I anticipated!

5 shining stars!
