Two people haunted by their past...
The collision of two damaged hearts...

Meet Elizabeth Williams. She is at the airport on an important work assignment. If everything goes smoothly, after three years of hard work, sheÔÇÖll get a promotion and a much-needed raise. Elizabeth is putting her life back on track after it was ripped out from under her feet four years ago when she lost her parents along with all her dreams. Standing here, she believes her life is going to change for the better any moment now. Nothing can go wrong, right?

Meet Ryan Price. He came to Moscow on business. Right now, Ryan is standing at the airport looking at a ÔÇÿpresentÔÇÖ from his brother, judging by the sign a beautiful young woman is holding. Damn his brother for not cancelling this arrangement as Ryan asked.

Miscommunications and misunderstandings and a brilliant but painful love story begins.

There will be a scary flight, lovely breakfasts, long evening conversations, sharing a secret or two, discovering one another, a lot of laughter, tender moments and some tears, a fight and, of course, the I-am-ready-for-the-end-of-the-world kiss.

Somewhere along the way, they wonÔÇÖt be able to fight their feelings any longer.

For the first time in his life, Ryan will experience a different shade of lust. And for the first time in her life, Elizabeth will have to trust despite all of the times she has been hurt.

Will these two wounded lost souls find love, peace and comfort in each other or will they just break each other more? Is it a train wreck of a love story or a happily ever after?

This is a new adult book and is intended for readers who are at least 17 years old. Adult content/language/situations are inside.

Based on the synopsis, I would like to say that I loved this story. However, I found myself agreeing with a key description. This is a painful love story. Painful because Elizabeth is a bit lost and Ryan is closed off. The author offers an interesting back story on how each arrived at their respective situations. Elizabeth lost her parents and went to live with her grandmother in Moscow. Ryan is a workaholic who hates to travel, but goes to Moscow to attend to business. A misunderstanding causes Elizabeth to lose her job, which she desperately needs to support her grandmother.┬á Enter the beautiful stranger who wants to help out of a sense of obligation.┬á And letÔÇÖs be honestÔǪa huge case of lust.

From there, the ÔÇ£love pain trainÔÇØ departs. The beautiful parts of the story are the rare moments when Ryan and Elizabeth let their guards down. RyanÔÇÖs walls are so high and impenetrable that you yearn to see him out of a business suit (though the man does look GOOD in one). There are some sweet acts of kindness (which Ryan fights at each turn) that will make your heart warm. And huge kudos to Krat for giving Elizabeth intelligence and a sense of self esteem. She speaks English and Russian and refused to take a job in which she felt degraded.

Chief complaint (from a personal perspective) would be how the story rambles a bit at the end, but maybe that just Ryan getting all love mushy. Thats okaywe women like our men to get that way. Ryan wants to help Elizabeth rectify the employment issue he has caused. *Spoiler* What is not plausible is taking her to Paris and part of her job description is sightseeing. However, when you have billions at your disposal, youll do whatever you can to keep the person you desire (even if you dont want to) as close to you as possible.

There is beauty in the breakdown and train wreck. Maybe we have to go down in a blaze of glory in order to learn more about ourselves. Only then can we be truly ready for our happily ever after.  After reading this book, I think that is the best way to describe the evolving love of Elizabeth and Ryan.
