***Can be read as a standalone or as part of the Rock Falls series***
Hannah Rhodes has just gotten out of a long term relationship, and she isn't looking for a new man in her life. But after a night out with the girls and one too many tequila shots, her plans to stay man free are blown all to hell. She finds herself in bed with the smoldering stranger from a party six months back and immediately knows she's in trouble, big trouble. And the last thing Hannah needs is more trouble.
Her last relationship took her out like an emotional freight train, and sheÔÇÖs trying to piece back the stability her life once had.
Greyson HoltÔÇÖs biggest fear in life is to end up like his father, like the man who left him as a child, and broke his motherÔÇÖs heart. He vowed to never be responsible for that kind of carnage. Men could be cruel and that kind of brutality was in his blood. He never allows himself to get too close to anyone, until he meets Hannah.
Something about her makes him want to try, but a man canÔÇÖt change overnight.
Will Holt be able to catch Rhodes every time he lets her go? Or will their chase end in heartbreak?
Hannah Rhodes is still recovering from a train wreck of a relationship and doesnÔÇÖt need another man right now. However, after a night out with the girls and her old friend Mr. Jose Cuervo, Hannah wakes up in bed. No clothes. With the hottie she ran into six months ago. Worst part? She didnÔÇÖt even know his name. But sheÔÇÖs pretty sure she slept with him. Best part? He looks like Charlie Hunnam!
I woke up surround[ed] by two hundred and thirty pounds of solid tattooed maleI dont remember how it was because I dont remember anything. At all.
Greyson has never wanted to be close to anyone. He doesnÔÇÖt want to be his father and itÔÇÖs easier this way. Keep people out and no one gets hurts. That is, until he realizes that he wants to try with Hannah. He runs into her, chases her, pushes her away and chases her again. Can Greyson get it together in time or will the chase be futile?
Im going to do my best to change that, sweetheartWhats your biggest fear?
ÔÇ£That, if the time comes for me to change my life, I wonÔÇÖt be brave enough to do it.┬á Yours?ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£That I will end up like my father.ÔÇØ
First offÔǪwhat a great group of friends. Their dynamics are pretty wonderfulÔÇöfriendship and sexy sparks (you have to read the book to know what IÔÇÖm talking aboutÔǪwink, wink). A great (HOT) big brother-type friend (Jamison) who you can call on for a run or a shoulder, a wonderful sister who is more of a best friend┬á Beth), a best friend who might as well be a sister (Lennon). There are some secondary romances to delight your appetite, too! Can I have Jamison, please?
Add in a bossy (and a bit prone to jealousy) Alpha who looks like Charlie Hunnam?┬á Sign me up! The man has some talents. Hands, mouth, abs, you name it. And yes, ladies, he has the awesome truck. There is some amazing chemistry in and out of the sheets with these two. Oh, and he proves that chivalry isnÔÇÖt dead. Go Hunnam!
The reason I couldnÔÇÖt give this book 5 stars? I wish the author would have further developed the story to give us more background on Greyson. We know GreysonÔÇÖs biggest fear is becoming his father, but there is a missed opportunity to understand him really well. Maybe the author is waiting to do a book on his background/POV.┬á (hmmmÔǪ.hint, hint)
Oh, and I sure hope Jolin lets us get to know Kai some more. HeÔÇÖs pretty darn delicious all on his own. I smell a spin off. Please?
