Don't miss a beat with the fourth and final novel in the USA Today bestselling Stage Dive series from Kylie Scott.
Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible... but will it lead to a connection of the heart?
Kylie Scott does it again.┬á IÔÇÖm HUGE fan of the Stage Dive series.┬á While the genre of Rockers is nowhere near new, Scott certainly makes her characters so thoroughly three dimensional, flawed, and redeemable.┬á Not to mention, you fall in love with them.┬á Seriously, I just wanted to climb BenÔǪthat mountain of man!┬á Add in Lizzy, the smarta$$ extraordinaire who chased the man of her dreams and walked away from their encounter with more than just a memoryÔǪwell, itÔÇÖs just explosive.┬á And infuriating.┬á And AWESOME!
IÔÇÖm drawn to female characters who are not perfect, but can be strong for themselves and others.┬á Well, no weak and simpering females in this novel or series.┬á And the men?┬á Well, they are beautifully flawed.┬á But, when they love, they love wholly and with a fiery passion.┬á Take Ben ÔÇô a man who is living his dream on the wings of a whim.┬á HeÔÇÖs playing and creating music every day.┬á ThatÔÇÖs all heÔÇÖs ever wanted.┬á Then, lo and beholdÔǪlittle Lizzy turns everything upside down.
I found her decision to chase after her man both admirable and a bit stupid. You always hear the contrary clich├®s ad nauseamÔǪ
ÔÇ£Grab life by the hornsÔÇØ
ÔÇ£Go big or go homeÔÇØ
ÔÇ£Men are all about the chaseÔÇØ
ItÔÇÖs quite the conundrum.┬á If you put yourself out there, you could fall on your face. However, without the risk, there is no reward.┬á Well, she took a chance, but gets hurt in the process.┬á If I had to pick one sentiment over the other, IÔÇÖll go with the admirable.┬á What she chose to do is representative of her fighter spirit.┬á Lizzy showed that even when she got knocked down (or knocked up), she wouldnÔÇÖt stay down for long.
This novel has a grittier feel to it.  There are no struggles with addiction, but the fight to the happy ending is quite a rough and tumble time.  There were a few moments when I actually worried there would be no happy ending!  Though this novel could be stand alone, it really does make the best sense if the other novels are read in order first.  All the members of Stage Dive and their leading ladies make appearances and are intricately woven into the story.  Understanding their personalities and quirks will help bring the book into Technicolor.
DonÔÇÖt miss this great read ÔÇô or any other novel in the Stage Dive series!
4.5 stars (because Ben, the-gorgeous-mountain-of-a-man, made me stub my toe in anger!)
