Never start a fire you cant control

Connor Bannon is supposed to be dead. Dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEALs, he's spent the last two years working as a street enforcer in Brooklyn for his cousin's crime ring. Through a twist of fate, he's now in Chicago, working undercover to bust criminals. But when a cute little arsonist joins the teamÔÇöall combat boots, tiny jean shorts, and hot-pink hairÔÇöConnorÔÇÖs notorious iron control slips.

Erin "she's getting away" O'Dea knows two things. She hates authority. And Nope, that's it. When she's forced to operate on the right side of the law, her fear of being confined and controlled blazes to the surface. The last thing she expects is a control freak like Connor to soothe her when she needs it most. Worse, something behind the sexy ex-soldier's eyes ignites a dangerous inferno of desire. One that invites Erin to play with fire. And one that could get them both killed

Tessa Baily is one of my go to authors. Whenever I need a steamy, hot, and angsty read, I turn to her book, and Up In Smoke did not disappoint. Tessa Bailey knows how to make you swoon, while at the same time gripping the edge of your seat trying to figure out what will happen.

Connor and Erin are one hot mess. They both have to deal with their own set of issues, but together they are explosive, in more ways than one. While Connor is an ex-Marine, turned criminal, Erin is an arsonist and escape artist, and both are confronted with a choice, being locked away, or moving to Chicago and help the CPD catching other criminals.

Their relationship is messy, fast, explosive, and sweet. Both of them arenÔÇÖt used to maintain a relationship, and they struggle to find common ground. Buy neither one of them is the kind of person to give up, even with a secret from ErinÔÇÖs past trying to destroy them both.

This read has been exactly what I needed. It is fast-paced, gripping, and, it needs to be repeated, hot. Plus, some an old friend from the Line of Duty series shows up. If youÔÇÖre looking for a steamy read to keep you warm at night, Up In Smoke is definitely the one for you.
