Lost Wishes is the fifth installment in Kelly GendronÔÇÖs Trouble Maker Series and the unputdownable story of Fallon and Katie. Even though it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

This story follows Fallon and Katie, and their way to redemption and love. Katie is sent after Fallon to retrieve something that is in FallonÔÇÖs possession, by his extended family. Fallon is the typical brooding alpha male, whoÔÇÖs isolated himself from his family after a tragedy strikes. HeÔÇÖs mean and obviously miserable, but also seems to be content to stay in that place.

Katie is hilarious, witty, and above all a fighter. She isnÔÇÖt afraid to make herself vulnerable in certain situations. Having overcome an abusive childhood, she learned early to fight back and not let other people define you, as well as standing up for oneself. She is relentless in everything she does, even if it is denying her growing feelings for Fallon.

Where Katie is light and laughter, Fallon is darkness and sorrow. My heart has broken repeatedly for the man and the loss he experienced. He closes himself off in order not to feel anything; he wasnÔÇÖt going to lose another person he loves. And with the exception Twigs, a teenage girl that wonÔÇÖt leave him alone and tries to take care of him due to a promise she made, he manages to alienate everyone. That is, until Katie sneaks into his life, shows him something he wants, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years.

Kelly Gendron has not only continuously ripped my heart out throughout this story, and the twist of it just about brought me to my knees, yet, she also made me laugh out loud, as well as snort in public. Katie and FallonÔÇÖs chemistry is palpable and off the charts, and yet, there is so much more to the story than just scorching hot sex.

I canÔÇÖt wait for the next one, because even though this story wrapped up nicely and I got my HEA for Fallon and Katie, it left me with quite a few unanswered questions about supporting characters, which I need answered, NOW!

Love the Trouble Maker Series, and if you want a delightful, sexy read with an unexpected twist, you should definitely pick this one up.
